Fascias Soffits and Cladding
Think of the time and money you can save on painting your home, or
repairing / replacing rotting fascias / soffits. This can all be a thing of the
past when you replace your fascias, soffits, barge board, guttering or cladding
with low maintenance PVCu building products.
We do the job properly, beginning with the roof itself we strip off the
first few rows of tiles or slates and renew the often rotting felting
which tends to disintegrate along it's edges. We cut this back to the
sound material and use a waterproof membrane strip to replace the cut
off portion.
After that we remove the guttering and if the old soffit boards are
timber we remove these as well. We will never attach PVCu boards to
existing timber boards, this is a recipe for eventual disaster in the
form of dry rot.
We do attach the PVCu fascia boards directly to the roof joists with
approved fixings and the soffits are locked into these with the
matching key grooves. Only when this has been done will we replace,
renew or repair your guttering.
Many houses are built with timber cladding and many have clad gable ends, over bays for instance. Sometimes these can be almost inaccessible
or you may want a conservatory under a gable. Replacing this timber
cladding or even older plastic cladding becomes necessary and once
again you will not have to be concerned about painting it.
